ApplyWell Careers is a trading name used by a sole trader established in the United Kingdom. The sole trader operating ApplyWell Careers is the controller for personal information collected through this website and our career-support services. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to applywellcareers@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, target role, location, salary target, CV and work-history information, LinkedIn or vacancy links, service preferences, order information and messages you send us.

Why we use it

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, provide requested CV and career services, administer orders, communicate about delivery and revisions, protect the website from abuse, keep appropriate business records and, where you separately choose to opt in, send occasional career tips.

Legal bases

Information needed to deal with an enquiry, prepare an order or provide a purchased service is generally processed because it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform our contract with you. Limited processing may also be necessary for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, record keeping and service administration. Optional analytics and optional career-tip marketing rely on consent where consent is required.

CVs and career information

The free ATS checker runs in your browser. The CV text used for that free check is not intentionally submitted to ApplyWell unless you later complete an order or another form that clearly asks you to send information to us. If you purchase a service, the information and documents you submit are used to complete that service.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. ApplyWell Careers does not receive or store your full card details. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy terms. We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, currency and package information needed to administer an order and verify payment.

Website analytics

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are optional. They are not activated by ApplyWell until you choose “Accept analytics” in our cookie controls. We use the resulting usage information to understand traffic, site journeys, CV-checker usage and conversion performance. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers or CV content to analytics services.

Email my improvement plan

If you ask us to email your free improvement plan, we use the email address you provide to send that requested plan. Any separate option to receive future career tips is optional and unticked by default. You can request the plan without agreeing to marketing.

Who information may be shared with

We use service providers including Netlify for website hosting and forms, Stripe for payments, Google Analytics for optional analytics, Microsoft Clarity for optional experience analytics and FormSubmit for website email delivery. We only share information where needed to operate, secure or improve the service, or where the law requires it.

International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where relevant, we rely on the safeguards made available by those providers and other recognised legal mechanisms for international transfers.

Retention

We keep service and order information for only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, manage revisions or complaints, maintain necessary business records and meet legal, tax or accounting obligations. We do not promise a single retention period for every type of information because different records may need to be kept for different periods.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to some processing, withdraw consent and request portability. Contact us at the email above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your information has been handled unlawfully.

ApplyWell Careers is the public-facing trading name. Formal customer correspondence can be sent to applywellcareers@gmail.com. Formal business paperwork will include any additional trader information that UK law requires.
